How I Lost My Beer Belly, It’s Easier Than You Think. Whilst it is a shocking affront to my delicate English sensibilities to post pictures of myself in my pants onto the net, in the circumstances, it seems like the right thing to do. For your reference, these series of photos were taken 3 months apart each, and so chart what’s possible over a 6 month period. EDIT: I’ve *finally* got round to finishing this in e. Book format, and I’ve published it as a Kindle book, so you can get it from Amazon. You see many diet sites and books tell you what to eat and why, and give examples of stuff you could eat, but I took this a stage further by putting together a complete food diary that spans nearly 3 months: I carefully recorded everything I ate and drank. I took high resolution photos of every meal. I recorded every workout I did (not as many as you’d think). I weighed myself every day and compiled a detailed spreadsheet of stats. It wasn. However it wasn’t the weight that I wasn’t happy with, it was how I looked. Absolute weight for me is unimportant, but how you feel about yourself affects your personal confidence levels, which in turn affects every part of your life. Losing that belly had a big impact on my general feeling of well being and hence my outlook on life. What’s more, it’s not too hard, when you know how. Now if you’ve been to this blog before, you’ll know I sporadically post about diet and exercise and have seen some major changes in my life. I could repeat all that here, but that would make this post ridiculously long so I’m not going to do that, instead I’m just going to highlight the salient points as I believe them, their explanations will have to wait for another day: Almost everything you’ve been told about main stream dieting is wrong. Fat is not the bad guy and for most people, calorie counting is an unsustainable answer. Control your carbohydrate intake and you’ll control your weight. The quality of your food is important. The macro- nutrient balance of your food is important (that’s protein, carbs and fat). Given the above, I eat what could be described as a “9. Paleo diet, in Zone proportions, + Dairy”. If you know what Paleo and Zone mean, you’re on the right track. I believe we were made to drink nothing but milk for the first 6+ months of our life, so I see no problem with dairy products. Or you could use the Cross. Fit’s Diet definition, which is: “Eat meat and vegetables, nuts and seeds, some fruit, little starch, no sugar.”? This is what I wanted to show people by putting together a 3 month food diary. How do you fancy things like: All butter popcorn. Prawn crackers. Piles of fruit and double cream. Bags of cinema pick & mix sweets. Chinese take aways. Nandos platters. Sticky toffee pudding. It also gets over the psychological barrier of thinking: “What, you mean I can never eat XYZ food again?!?” if you can, at the next weekly cheat day. So in summary then I’m prepared to share: Nearly 3 months worth of food diary. Every single thing I ate and drank, every day. High resolution pictures of the meals. Full commentary on what and why I ate what I ate it. How much weight was lost each day as a result. Details of every workout I did and what times I got and weights I used. How I completely removed my pot belly in just a few months. EDIT: I’ve *finally* got round to finishing this in e. Book format, and I’ve published it as a Kindle book, so you can get it from Amazon. I can’t say fairer than that can I? Go get it today and start getting that teenage body back, I did! Can Diabetic Retinopathy Be Reversed? Though many reported feeling better on Dr. He wanted objective measurements, the most famous of which were his so called eyegrounds photographs, taken with a special camera that allowed you. And in doing so, he proved that not only could diet arrest the bleeding, oozing, and swelling you can see in the back of the eye in people with severe kidney, hypertensive, or heart disease, but actually reverse it. Reversal to such a degree that even patients who could no longer distinguish any objects had been able to read fine print. A reversal of blindness with diet. The results were so dramatic that the head of the department of ophthalmology at Duke, where Kempner worked, was questioned as to whether they were somehow faked. He assured them that they were not. In fact, he wrote in one person. But as Kempner said as his closing sentence in. Even with intensive diabetes treatment, at least three insulin injections a day with the best modern technology has to offer, like these implantable insulin pumps, and the best we can offer is usually just a slowing of the progression of the disease. So we can, in the 2. Kempner proved you could reverse it. Kempner started out using his plant- based ultra low- sodium/fat/cholesterol/protein rice diet to reverse kidney and heart failure, but assumed it would make diabetes worse. He expected a 9. 0% carbohydrate diet would increase insulin requirements; however, the opposite proved to be true. He just took the next 1. But this is what blew people away: 4. From like this to this. Diabetic retinopathy had been considered a sign of irreversible destruction. What does this mean in real life? Unable to even read headlines, to normal vision. The remarkable success Dr. Kempner had reversing some of the most dreaded complications of diabetes with his rice and fruit diet was not because of weight loss. The improvements occurred even in those patients who. Maybe it was his total elimination of animal protein, total elimination of animal fat, total elimination of cholesterol, or radical reduction in sodium, fat, and protein in general. With steroids and other drugs, injected straight into your eyeballs. Surgeons literally burn out the back of your eye. Why would they do that? The theory is that by killing off most of the retina, the little pieces you leave behind may get more of the blood flow. When I see this, along with Kempner. Like yeah, can you believe 5. But thank goodness we've since learned that through dietary means alone, we can reverse the blindness. But instead of learning, medicine seems to have forgotten. To see any graphs, charts, graphics, images, and quotes to which Dr. This is just an approximation.
